Sapthagiri College of Engineering, Bangalore popularly known as SCE is the brain child of the well known industrialist and philanthropist Shri.Mr. G. Dayanand, the Chairman of the Governing Board of the College. SCE is a self-financed Institution approved by AICTE, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The college offers 7 UG courses and 2 PG Courses with an annual intake of 1068 students. The over all students strength of the college is 3000.

SCE is located in North Bangalore on the Hesaraghatta road in spacious serene and invigorating surroundings, far from the maddening crowd and the hustle and bustle of the urban locale. The lush green campus provides an ideal and congenial atmosphere to pursue education without any external distractions like noise, sound and air pollution.

Our system of education is not directly concerned with changing the political and economic conditions which are responsible for the war but it is our duty to propagate right ideals. If men make history, ideals make men.

Sapthagiri College of Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka state is one such example. SCE stands on the strong edifice of Sri Srinivasa education and charitable trust under the guidance of its founder chairman late Sri T.Giriappa instituted during the year 2001. The institute is situated amongst the lush green ambience and has a vision of "Integral development of students and empowering them for social transformation". And mission "To provide facilities for academic excellence, training in soft skills and technical skills and job placement". The institute has played a significant role in all round development of young engineers in addition to bridging of the gap between all levels of education; the institute has a greater responsibility of making the student fraternity to meet the national and global demands.
